The Jaeger Company assisted the City of Roswell in developing the Historic Preservation Element of the Roswell Comprehensive Plan. The document provides background information as well as specific goals, objectives, and strategies to advance historic preservation in Roswell.

The Historic Preservation Element of the Comprehensive Plan describes Roswell's historic development and summarizes its archaeological, landscape, and historic resources. The plan provides detailed information on how this significant resource base can be preserved and recommends planning tools to accomplish this goal. The study included a windshield survey of the entire city to identify sites and neighborhoods that are now or soon will be historic. Survey data was mapped allowing the findings to be incorporated into other elements of the Comprehensive Plan.

The Action Strategy outlined in the report provides a "Work Program" for Roswell's Historic Preservation Commission to make preservation a viable part of community life and development. The report also provides a valuable reference of historic preservation sources and techniques.

The plan was developed with guidance from the city's Historic Preservation Commission and staff through several work sessions.
